Product descriptions and images
We describe our products as accurately as we can, and we publish the supplier specification rather than our own estimate of it. Where a supplier does not publish a figure, such as a maximum user weight, we say so on the page instead of filling the gap. Colours and finishes can appear differently on different screens, and small differences between an image and the item you receive are normal and not a fault.
These are daily living aids, not medical devices
Everything we sell is a daily living aid. None of it is a medical device, none of it is prescribed, and we make no claim that any product treats a condition, aids recovery or prevents falls or injuries. If you are choosing equipment after an operation, a fall or a change in mobility, an occupational therapist or your own clinician is the right person to advise on what suits you. We can tell you what a product physically does and what it is made of, and that is the limit of what we know about your situation.
Fitting and load ratings
Fitting guidance on this site is general. Bathrooms and beds vary, and it is your responsibility to check that a product is correctly and fully fitted before anyone puts weight on it. Clamp on rails depend entirely on their clamp: check it is tight before every use, and again after anyone cleans around it. Where a load rating is published we state the supplier's figure as published; where none is published we say so rather than estimate one, and you should not assume a limit we have not stated. The electric bidet seat requires a mains socket, and the electrical installation of the room is governed by the rules of your own country.
